Internet’s favourite couple Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif reportedly got ‘rokafied’ at Kabir Khan’s home. All reports are further indicating a December wedding in making for the couple. According to a Times of India report, the couple, which has kept its relationship ‘hush-hush’, had their roka earlier on Diwali last week.

Further, the couple chose their close friend and prominent film director Kabir Khan’s home as the venue for their roka. For the unversed, Katrina and Kabir share a special bond with each other, with the former considering Kabir her ‘brother’. While neither Kaushal not Kaif has broken their silence, it’s being reported that the couple’s wedding will take place in Rajasthan’s Six Senses Fort resort.


As the year inches to its end and we welcome winters, it’s also the time for the most anticipated season – the wedding season. While COVID-19 has certainly brought about a new way weddings and celebrations are observed, it has still not dampened the spirits of Indians.

For the next few weeks, several families will be engaged in wedding preparations. Meanwhile Bollywood fans – especially fans of new age couples such as Alia Bhatt – Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal – Katrina Kaif, will have a new reason to celebrate.

During the Diwali festivities, both the couple took to Instagram and shared how they celebrated the festival of lights. However, amid all the festivities, rumours broke out which claimed that Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif had a roka ahead of their December wedding.

The lights were light and the diyas were put in place at popular director Kabir Khan’s residence in Mumbai. It wasn’t just a Diwali party Khan was hosting, it was also an intimate roka ceremony that would be happening at his own home. According to reports, Katrina Kaif and Udham Singh had an intimate roka ceremony ahead of their December wedding.

The Ek Tha Tiger director (Kabir Khan) and actress (Katrina Kaif) share a special bond. Since years leading Bollywood dailies have claimed that Kaif considers Kabir like his brother. On Diwali, Katrina, along with his mother and his sister Isabella took to Kabir’s place.

Meanwhile, they were soon joined by Vicky Kaushal, who came with his intimate entourage, which included both of his parents and his brother Sunny Kaushal.

According to the Times of India report, the venue was decorated with elegant lights and minimalistic flowers. Later, the couple – separately shared pictures of their celebrations. Vicky looked dapper as always in his blue sherwani, holding a diya.

Meanwhile, Katrina looked equally stunning in her pink saree. Interestingly enough, Katrina was also seen wearing a ring in her ring finger, something that fans noticed, she hasn’t been seen wearing much.

An India Today reported a close friend of the couple saying, “It was a beautiful roka. There were lights and decorations and Katrina looked stunning in her lehenga. Since the Diwali dates were an auspicious muhurat, the families decided to go ahead with the ceremony. Kabir and Mini are almost like family to Katrina and they were the most gracious hosts.”

Katrina and Vicky to Get Married at Six Senses Fort

According to several reports, the star-couple will be getting married sometime in December. While the couple were reported to have been interested in having a destination wedding, their work commitments didn’t allow them to plan for the same. However, the wedding will be no short of a big-fat-Indian-wedding, with the venue being the uber-luxurious Six Senses Fort, Rajasthan.
