In the video a member of the US Navy band can be seen singing the song beautifully in his American accent while another member is seen playing the piano. There are other band members who can be seen harmonizing with the main lead of the band. The rendition of US Navy can strike a chord into any Indian’s heart as the song speaks about the strong connection a country has with his countrymen. The song is from the film Swades, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, which released in 2004.
Grammy and Oscar-winning composer and singer A.R. Rahman also reacted to the video saying, “Swades rules forever!” The enigmatic composer is known to be shy and reserved, and to have him react to his song being elevated by the US Navy band speaks volume.
