Popular actor couple Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur delighted fans on Sunday when they announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in February 2022.

Taking to Instagram, Vikrant shared the happy news by posting a picture from their wedding day. In the photo, the parents-to-be smile at each other while holding hands. The words “We are expecting! Baby coming 2024” are written across the bottom.

Vikrant simply captioned the post “New beginnings” along with a dizzy emoji, letting the picture do most of the talking. The announcement was met with an outpouring of love and congratulations from friends, fans and colleagues alike.

Love Story of The Actors

Vikrant and Sheetal first met on the sets of the 2018 web series Broken But Beautiful. After dating for around 7 years, they decided to take their relationship to the next level by getting married in an intimate ceremony last February.

Sharing pictures from the wedding at the time, Vikrant had written about how their 7-year journey had “turned into a bond for seven lives.”

Acting Careers

36-year-old Vikrant Massey shot to fame playing the lead role of Dharam in the 2008 TV show Dharam Veer. He went on to star in several other popular shows such as Balika Vadhu and Qubool Hai before transitioning to films.

Sheetal Thakur, 30, is best known for starring in Broken But Beautiful and the film Chappad Phaad Ke.

What’s Next for Vikrant

On the work front, Vikrant will next be seen in director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film 12th Fail releasing on October 27. The movie is based on UPSC aspirants and Vikrant plays the role of an IPS officer.
