Viral video making rounds of social media is showing chaos unleashing in a US school in Arizona after the father of a student ‘confronted’ his son’s bullies. The shocking shows twenty-thirty youths raining down fists and punches towards each other indiscriminately. The video is so chaotic that even after watching it from the beginning till the end, one can’t really comprehend who’s on whose side. While the incident was reported from Arizona and occurred earlier on Tuesday, it was not until Friday that the viral video of the incident emerged.
According to reports, the brawl at the Arizona school got triggered after a parent, identified as Willie Smith, came to the school to pick his two sons. The two sons were being sent home after they met with “some disturbance” with other group, local reports state.
The 40-year-old father of the two students was asked by the school staff to leave the school through the back exit so as to avoid any further altercation or issues. However, the man responded to the request with, “If it’s going down, it’s going down here”.
While the father was leaving with his sons, the group was once again taunted by some students, which triggered the massive brawl.
The Facts of the Matter
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, 1 out of every 5 students in US aged between 12-18, has been bullied during the school year. While verbal bullying is the most common type of bullying reported, physical bullying and social harassment are also widely reported with cyberbullying now an increasingly used way of bullying.
While laws are in place to dole out punishments in reported cases of bullying, a father in US recently took upon himself to right the wrong and ended up fighting against at least 30 youths in an Arizona school. The incident transpired earlier on Tuesday, following which the school was put under a lockdown.
Father Asked to Leave from Back Exit
According to reports, the incident happened when a parent, identified as Willie Smith, came to school to pick his two sons up. The two sons were reportedly sent home due to “disturbance” with a group of school students.

The school staff had asked the father of the two students to leave through the back exit to avoid further issues. However, the father denied the request and was quoted saying, “If it’s going down, it’s going down here”.
Later, while the man was with his two sons, a group of students taunted the group and this triggered the altercation.

Shocking video of the incident shows an intense brawl unfolding right on the school campus with students launching punches and jabs towards each other in an unrelentless manner. Reportedly, at least 30 students were involved in the matter. In another video, a man in red shirt, who is allegedly the father of the bullied students, can be seen choking another teenager.

School Issues Statement, Father Arrested & Released
Following the incident, the school issued a statement which read, “The school is currently in a safety protocol due to an incident on campus. Tucson Police Department and TUSD School Safety immediately responded and will remain on campus for the remainder of the day to ensure there are no additional issues”.
Reportedly, the father was later arrested on felony charge. He was quoted claiming that his sons were assaulted by other students. Following investigation, he was released.
Parents Allege “Extreme Force” Used by Authorities
Meanwhile, many parents alleged that the authorities used extreme force to subdue the brawl and control the students. However, the Tucson Police Department claimed that it didn’t use any such force. In a statement quoted by Daily Mail, the TPD stated – “This incident occurred in a large area of the campus during a busy time of day (lunch hour). The initial information I have indicates that no weapons were brought onto campus by the suspect and no injuries or medical transports have been reported.”
“We can confirm no TPD officers used any type of force that including pepper spray, if it was used it was not by our department,” the statement further read.
