A heart-stopping moment was recently captured on cam, as a tiger from Jim Corbett National Park charged at tourists in a safari jeep and gave them a moment, they are likely to never forget. For the unversed, Jim Corbett houses the largest tiger population among 50 reserves spread across the nation. Further, India is the proud home of the most number of tigers, with 70% tiger population in the world.
As the clip begins, one can see the curious tourists in a four-wheeler vehicle admiring the majestic beast from a safe distance. Suddenly, the seemingly calm tiger springs from the bushes, roaring ferociously as it charges straight towards the vehicle. Panic and chaos ensue as the visitors scream in terror while desperately trying to escape the beast’s wrath.
The driver of the safari vehicle deserves commendation for his quick reflexes as he accelerates the vehicle in reverse, leading it away from the tiger’s path. The furious cat eventually retreats back into the forest, leaving the tourists traumatized and shaken.
The incident quickly went viral on social media, drawing attention from all over the world. The Indian Forest Service (IFS) official Susanta Nanda shared the video on Twitter, accompanied by a caption that read, “Striped monk gets irritated..”
