In a baffling incident reported from Bihar’s capital, a railway station in Patna allegedly played adult content on the TV screens set up at the station for as many as 3 minutes, prompting locals to gather around the screens, and a ruckus erupting in the aftermath. The incident took place at platform number 10 of Patna station and occurred earlier on Sunday, sometime around 9.30 am.
Patna Junction, a busy railway station in Bihar, recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons. According to reports, a private firm responsible for displaying regular train announcements on TV screens across the station decided to spice things up a bit by showing a pornographic video instead.
Needless to say, the hundreds of passengers waiting on the platforms, including women and children, were left in utter shock and disbelief at the unexpected display. Meanwhile, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) took swift action and lodged an FIR against the naughty agency. They also cancelled their contract and summoned the officials for further investigation.
The incident took place when the Danapur DRM Prabhat Kumar was entering the junction for inspection purposes. An RPF man informed them about the display of the porn clip on the TV screens.
As per a TOI report, Patna Station was known for playing pornographic content on TV screens back in 90s.

It’s safe to say that Dutta Communication will not be relaying any train announcements or advertisements anytime soon, and passengers at Patna Junction can rest assured that they won’t be subjected to any more scandalous surprises.
Not the First Such Incident
It should be noted that this is not the first time a public display was made use of to show something rather explicit and shock-worthy. Earlier in December last year, an LED display in Mumbai gave pedestrians and commuters a rather surprising advice.
The LED, which is often used to display public service announcements, flashed – “smoke weed everyday”, prompting people to take pictures, and share it on social media.
