Popular Tamil Nadu-based YouTuber TTF Vasan was injured on Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle while attempting a wheelie stunt along the Chennai-Coimbatore highway. The daring stunt was caught on CCTV cameras installed along the highway.

According to reports, Vasan was riding from Chennai towards Coimbatore when he tried to perform the stunt near Baluchetty Chathiram village while on the service lane of the highway. Footage shows Vasan lifting the front wheel of his black motorcycle off the ground for a wheelie maneuver. However, he quickly loses control of the bike, causing it to skid and fall on the roadside. Vasan is thrown off the bike and tumbles several feet away onto the ground. The motorcycle is seen spinning violently before coming to rest on the side of the road.

Not the First Run-In with Authorities

This is not Vasan’s first brush with the law. The popular YouTuber is said to have had frequent run-ins with traffic police in multiple districts of Tamil Nadu for offenses like overspeeding and performing illegal stunts on public roads.

Police have obtained CCTV footage of Sunday’s failed stunt and plan to question Vasan once he has recovered from his injuries. Performing stunts and speeding on public roads is illegal and poses risks, not just to the rider but also to other motorists and pedestrians.

Incident Reignites Debates on Responsible Social Media Content

The viral video of the accident has reignited debates over the need to crack down on social media influencers promoting dangerous bike stunts without necessary precautions. Concerns have also been raised that such content encourages young riders to emulate it despite lack of training or regard for safety protocols.

As Vasan recovers, the spotlight will be on whether authorities take action against the YouTuber for traffic violations. The incident also underscores the need for responsible content creation on social media.
