In an audacious incident caught on cam, a woman from Ghaziabad was seen hanging from her 4th floor balcony railing to clean windows. The incident was reported from Shipra Rivera Society, Indirapuram. According to a Jagran report, the video was shot by a woman identified as Shruti Thakur, who resides in an apartment located in the opposite block of the same society.

After the incident, the Resident Welfare’s Association issued a notice regarding the incident and asked society residents to not be negligent while conducting their day-to-day activities.

This is third such incident reported in India with people putting their life at risk for trivial reasons. Earlier, a woman received flak from the netizens when she was seen dangling her son from her 10th floor balcony using a bedsheet to fetch a saree.

Similarly, a man was caught on cam exercising from the 12th floor balcony of his residence in a high-rise apartment building.

The Facts of the Matter

Often, our day-to-day chores get so monotonous that we need to include new activities in the routine, or a new habit to continue those chores. A lady in Ghaziabad took this to new extreme when she cleaned the windowpanes of her residence by hanging from her fourth-floor balcony railing. The entire incident was caught on cam, and has since been making the rounds of social media.

According to reports, the incident happened at the Shipra Rivera Society, Indirapuram in Ghaziabad. Meanwhile, the video of the incident was shot by Shruti Thakur, a resident living in the opposite block in the same society.

Reportedly, the woman seen in the video has recently shifted to the A-block of the society and lives there on rent. On Sunday afternoon, the woman initiated her thrilling cleaning mission and stepped out of her balcony window and hung on to its railing while she cleaned the window pane. Meanwhile, Shruti Thakur tried to call the woman but her voice was not heard.

What Did the Video Show?

The 14-second video shows the woman in question cleaning the glass window pane of the balcony from the outside by standing on the thin railing. In the video, viewers can see the Ghaziabad woman diligently cleaning the glass windows of her balcony without any fear of the height that she could fall from with one simple misstep.

The woman can also be seen moving further ahead to the right side to get her hands to the window corners. The glass window frame appears to be made of standard quality aluminum which at times get slippery. Had the woman hung on to it carelessly or took a misstep, she would’ve fallen at least 30 ft down.

After the incident, the Residents Welfare Association floated a notice in the society and asked its residents to be more careful. A Jagran report stated that RWA President Shishir Kanungo claimed that a notice was issued asking people to not repeat such accident and the woman will also be asked to not do the same after a meeting.

Third Such Event in One Month

It should be noted that this is the third such incident being reported in the country within the last few weeks. Earlier on February 10, a woman made buzz after she dangled her son with a bedsheet from the 10th floor of the balcony to fetch a saree. The woman received flak for netizens for being negligent with the life of her own son.

Similarly, a man was seen exercising from his 10th floor balcony ledge. In the video gone viral, the man was seen squatting while being on the other side of the balcony. It was later revealed that the man was a mentally ill person and the RWA issued a notice about the situation.

Incidentally, both the above-mentioned incidents took place in Faridabad
