In a jaw-dropping incident caught on cam, a monkey was captured on video climbing a flying seagull and battering it brutally. The video shows nature at its most hardcore, and once again proves that these harmless looking primates can inflict major damage to other beings in the strangest of situations. The incident was recorded on video by visitors of the famous Chester Zoo located in the Cheshire county in England, UK.
A regular visitor of the zoo was interviewed by The Sun news outlet. The visitor, 37-year-old Chris Iacurti, said that his ten and five-year-old kids were left traumatized after seeing the incident and have been since scared of being attacked by monkeys. Meanwhile, another regular visitor was quoted in a The Sun report saying, “It was absolutely crazy. A real brutal murder”.
The news comes just a few months later another monkey related news had stunned the world. In India, several monkeys were avenging the death of a monkey baby by killing as many as 250 puppies.
The Facts of the Matter
In the American sci-fi film franchise Planet of the Apes, apes get united and wage a war against humans. In the films, we can see these apes riding horses, firing weapons, and almost conversing to other humans. While such feats of evolution have thankfully never been reported, a recent video of a monkey ruthlessly taking down a flying seagull shows just what these primates are capable of.
The video was reportedly taken from the Chester Zoo located in Cheshire, England, UK. The Chester Zoo is famous for being one of the largest zoos in UK, and registered a record two million visitors in 2019. The Chester Zoo features a separate orangutan house called Realm of the Red Ape, The Chimpanzee Breeding Centre and multiple collection of islands for safari that feature a host of monkey breeds.

What Does the Video Show (Reader’s Discretion Advised)?
In the video gone viral, a prime can be seen on top of a tall pole in the middle of a large enclosure. The monkey has a few seagulls circling around its head. In an instant, the monkey plucks out one of the birds while the bird tries to flap away in panic.
In the tight grip of the monkey, the poor bird tries to break free, however, the monkey unleashes a world of pain on the bird and batters him against the poll repeatedly till all the fight disappears from within the bird.
The monkey can also be seen digging its hands into the bird, and putting the hands in his mouth, indicating that maybe it is feasting on the dead bird.

Monkey Threw the Seagull After the Complete Obliterating
According to The Sun report, after completely obliterating the bird’s head, the monkey threw it away to the ground. The entire incident was witnessed by many people who remained in shock as to what transpired in no time. “The kids were desperately trying to find a zookeeper to help save the seagull but I had to tell them it was a bit late for that. They were worried it was going to eat them next. But I don’t think it’s going to put us off coming back again,” The Sun report quoted a visitor saying.
