The video of a Husky getting reunited with its owner after the Bucha violence has gone viral and is melting hearts of the netizens across the world. A small town barely 17 miles from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Bucha is currently the heartbreaking hotspot from where the most horrible atrocities of the alleged war-crimes committed by Russian forces are emerging from.
Accounts of citizens who witnessed the “genocide” level killings are enough to send shiver down one’s spine. From bodies being rolled under heavy tanks, to Russian forces wreaking havoc indiscriminately on the youths, the elderly, the men, the women and the children alike, the crimes are countless.
In such a situation, a heartwarming video of a Husky dog getting reunited with its owner, was all that the internet needed to keep holding on to the already tattered thread of hope. In the video gone viral, the pet can be seen jumping in absolute euphoria, meeting its owner after somehow getting separated in the ongoing invasion.
The Facts of the Matter
Due to the violence in Bucha, Ukrainian, several people were displaced and were forced to take shelter away from their dear ones. This also included pets who got lost due to the relentless and merciless shelling and bombings by Russian troops.
The Heartbreaking Visuals Coming from Bucha
This included a husky who got separated from its owner. The pet dog disappeared when the Russian troops started its onslaught and assault on Ukrainian civilians. Photos coming from the city showed bloodied bodies piled up in street corners, small holes being used as ‘mass graves’ accommodating nameless and faceless corpses,

How the Husky was Rescued by Battalion Unit
The atrocities ceased after the city was recaptured by the Kastus Kalinouski Battalion – a Belarusian unit fighting alongside the Ukrainian forces. As the Kastus Kalinouski Battalion swept the city for any further threat, they found a husky wandering in the streets.
The husky was rescued and the battalion tried to locate its missing owner. Their worst fears were pushed aside when the troops finally succeeded in locating the owner.

The entire incident was shared by the Battalion on Instagram. Sharing the visuals of the Husky getting reunited with its owner, the Battalion wrote the caption explaining the situation as it unfolded.
“A little positivity in these difficult times. During Bucha’s release we found Nessie left alone. But thanks to our friends we found her owners and today she is back to them. Look at this emotional moment. As long as some treat people like animals, we are fighting for the lives of not only humans but every animal!” the caption read.
The incident struck a chord with netizens who took to Twitter and lauded the forces for rescuing the pet dog.

The Story of the Lost and Rescued Husky
According to a Daily Star report, the owner of the Husky has one more pet dog – a Shephard and he left the two dogs in the care of his neighbours who had decided not to flee Bucha. Later, the neighbours too had to flee Bucha and the canines were left on their own with some food.
While one of the pets – the Husky – was rescued and reunited, the other dog is still not found.
