In Chennai an IT company recently gifted cars to 100 of its employees worth Rs 15 crores. These loyalty gifts ranged from Maruti Suzuki Baleno to BMW 530D. The company in question is Ideas2IT and its founder is Murali Vivekanandan.

The company decided to celebrate 100 employees who have been a part of the company’s journey for over 10 years. Meanwhile, the 5 hard-working people who received the BMW have been with the company since it started.

In his statement, the company’s marketing head revealed that the company’s concept is to return the wealth it generated to its employees itself. A software-development firm, Ideas2IT has a presence in India and across USA and Mexico. What started with a six-person team has now diverse into a 500-employee organization. The company’s clients include Facebook, Microsoft, Oracle, Bloomberg, etc.

It should be noted that development emerged just days after another Chennai-based tech company called Kissflow gifted BMW cars to 5 senior employees. The company’s CEO Suresh Sambandam had taken to Twitter to appreciate the 5 winners of the BMW cars and stated that they have adhered to the company’s vision since decades.

The Facts of the Matter

Imagine getting appreciated and incentivized for something like loyalty and adhering to the company’s vision! What an idea, isn’t it?

Sarcasm aside, often companies across the world are infamous for not giving their employees their share of acknowledgement and appreciation. This leads to resentment and deep unsatisfaction.

Chennai’s Ideas2IT’s New Wealth Sharing Initiative

A company in Chennai is setting the example for companies across the nation by celebrating and appreciating its most loyal employees. The company in question is Ideas2IT. Founded by Murali Vivekanandan, the company has made the headlines for giving 100 of its most loyal employees 100 cars worth Rs. 15 crores.

Cars Gifted to Employees with 10 Years in Company

These cars range from Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Maruti S-Cross, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, to jaw-dropping BMW 530Ds. The company’s Marketing Head, Hari Subramanian was quoted in an NDTV report saying, “We are gifting 100 cars to 100 of our employees who have been a part of us for more than 10 years. We have a strength of 500 employees. Our concept is to return the wealth we have received, to the employees.”

Gifting Car First Step in Wealth Sharing Initiative

Company CEO Gayathri Vivekanandan also noted that Ideas2It is India’s first IT company that has honored 100 of its employees with as many cars. She noted that the 100 employees were instrumental in the company’s growth. Further, she added the car-gifting is the first step in the company’s wealth-sharing initiative.

Employees ‘Earned’ Their Gifts: Ideas2IT Founder

Meanwhile, the company’s founder Murali Vivekanandan said that the awarded employees have made a lot of efforts for the better of the company and they have “earned” the cars that were gifted to them.

“Seven-eight years ago we promised that when we get lefty goals we will share our wealth. Awarding these cars is just the first step. We plan to roll out more such initiatives in the near future,” said Ideas2IT founder.

Similar Initiative was Reported Days Before

The news comes just days after another Chennai-based IT company Kissflow gifted five of its most hard-working and loyal employees BMW cars worth Rs.1 crore each. Kissflow CEO Suresh Sambandam said that the 5 employees had been part of the company since it began and further helped the company during the pandemic.

“There were difficult times. Even during the pandemic, the investors were not sure whether this company will sustain and build a future. Today we are very happy that we have paid back the investors and now it has become a fully owned privately held company,” CEO Suresh Sambandam was quoted saying.
