The Facts of the Matter
For years, Indian citizens from all the corners of the country have lost their lives in train-related mishaps due to negligence. To curb such instances as much as they can be, the Indian Railways have also implemented safety measures on multiple levels.
This includes surveillance through CCTV cameras at various stations, deployment of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel to ensure safety, implementation of security helpline number 182, and more.
However, there are instances when all such safety measures somehow fail and a shocking incident transpires on the railway station, or much worse, a railway track.
