In a horrific incident caught on cam, a Delhi man was thrashed with a chair and was later stabbed over an illicit affair. The deceased person was 24-years-old and was ambushed by three men at the Seemapuri district on December 29, 2021. According to reports, the deceased man was identified as Shahrukh, who was having an affair with one of the accused’s sister, who was also a married woman. After the incident, the Delhi Police conducted investigation, which led them to two accused. The accused were identified as Zuber and Aditya. One more accused is missing and the search is on for him.
The incident comes months after another stabbing took place in Delhi where a 19-year-old man was stabbed to death over a woman in broad daylight.
Background
According to the National Crime Records Bureau India registered as many as 66,01,285 cognizable crimes with as many as 29,193 murders in 2020. In its report, the NRCB also lays down 19 motives under which the crimes are committed.
This includes motives based on dispute, dowry, communal differences. It also includes love affairs/illicit relationships, which has been the cause of several deaths over the course of years.
An India Today report stated that off the total 29,193 murders, love affairs itself was a motive that caused 3,031 murders or about 10.38% of the total cases. Moreover, Uttar Pradesh, which topped the charts when it came to murders, registered, 3,379 murders with 351 murders due to illicit relationships.
Recently, a horrific crime due to illicit relationship emerged from the national capital.
The Facts of the Matter
On Wednesday, a 24-year-old man was brutally thrashed and stabbed to death by three men in the national capital. The incident happened at the Seemapuri district. The cause of the horrific crime was reported to be the victim’s illicit with the accused’s married sister. The entire incident was recorded on video and has since gone viral.
What Does the Video Show?
The video shows a man lying on the street while the accused hits him repeatedly with a chair. The video escalates within a few moments when another knife wielding man puts the knife into the back of the already injured man. As if this were not enough, the second accused continues to thrash the victim with the chair as the first accused stabs the victim for the second time. The victim is knocked out completely with the last blow on his head. A third accused can be seen threatening a pedestrian.

Victim and Accused Belonged in Same Locality
The victim was soon rushed to the GTB Hospital where he was declared “brought dead”. Meanwhile, the police were also alerted and soon they identified the victim as 24-year-old Shahrukh.
According to a senior police officer quoted by Times of India, the victim was a resident of Seemapuri. Based on investigation, the police also identified the accused as Zuber, Aditya and Zafar. The accused also belong to the same locality as the victim.

Victim Had Affair with Accused’s Sister
As per a News18 report which quoted the police, the victim was having an illicit affair with the married sister of Zubair. After multiple warnings, the couple continued to have an affair, which angered the accused.
The police registered a case against the three accused against multiple sections of the IPC, including Section 302 (Punishment for murder) and Section 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
After the case was booked, the police swung into action and conducted multiple search raids. Soon, Aditya and Zubair were arrested. It should be noted that the victim had a criminal history and also had cases against him. According to a Hindustan Times report, Shahrukh was labelled a ‘Bad Character’ at the Seemapuri police station.
