In a horrific incident caught on cam, a Patna man was seen shooting himself point blank after killing his ex-wife, and daughter in a shocking triple murder case. The incident was reported from Gardani Bagh police station limits in Patna, Bihar. According to reports, the man who killed himself in the most shocking way imaginable was identified as Rajeev. Other deceased are identified as his ex-wife Priyanka Bharti (30) and daughter Sanskriti Prabha (14). The incident happened on Thursday, around 12:40 PM near Block A of Police Colony.

Reportedly, locals who heard the multiple gunshots rushed out of their homes and found the bloodied bodies of the three deceased. Police was sopon alerted and the deceased’s bodies were sent for post-mortem at Patna Medical College Hospital. From the scene of the incident, the police were able to recover an unlicensed pistol and three empty shells.



Initial reports state that Rajeev had a history of domestic violence. After being subjected to assault, Priyanka divorced him and married another man named Satish Kumar, who’s an airforce personnel. Rajeev wanted to get custody of his daughter; however, his daughter too didn’t want to live with him due to his history of abuse.

The Facts of the Matter

The city of Patna reported a shocking triple murder case where a man shot his ex-wife, daughter before killing himself point-blank. The incident occurred earlier today and was reported from a colony near Block A, Police Colony which comes under the Gardani Bagh police station limits. The shocking incident was caught on CCTV, visuals of which are going viral on social media.

All three deceased have been identified. The man was identified as 40-year-old Rajeev, his wife Priyanka Bharti (30), and their daughter Sanskriti Prabha (14).


What Does the Video Show?

The hair-raising video shows a man carrying a backpack with a pistol in his hand. He stops a group of three women and can be seem visibly agitated and argumentative. All hell seems to break lose when the man suddenly points the pistol on the young girl’s face and shoots her down. The young girl instantly collapses. As the two women try to rush to the young girl’s aid, the man shoots another older woman and then shoots himself on the head at point-blank range. The three deceased can be seen collapsed on the road.

Couple had Divorced Due to Accused’s Domestic Abuse

According to a TOI report, the deceased wife of the shooter, Priyanka was an employee at the Patna Secretariat and resided at a rented accommodation with his sister’s daughter and mother. Reportedly, Priyanka was married to her brother-in-law. The couple’s marriage was riddled with domestic abuse that Rajeev subjected Priyanka to. Due to the domestic abuse, Priyanka divorced Rajeev and moved to Patna with their daughter.

Accused Wanted Custody of Daughter

Following the divorce, Rajeev sought custody of his daughter. However, Priyanka refused the same in the court and even their daughter was not interested to live with her father due to his prior history of domestic abuse.

The Final Moments & Aftermath

On the day of the horrific incident, Rajeev followed the mother-daughter duo from Begusarai to Patna and then committed the heinous act. Following the incident, the deceased’s body was sent for postmortem. A case against Rajeev was filed under sections of IPC which include Section 302, however as the accused is dead, no trial will take place.
