In a horrific moment caught on cam, a speeding car mowed down four pedestrians on a road in Bengaluru. Later, it was reported that the driver of the speeding out-of-control vehicle was low on sleep and was arrested. In the senseless accident, three persons were injured while one man lost his life. The incident occurred earlier on Friday, May 20 and was reported from Bengaluru’s Kathriguppe junction near Banashankari.
The visuals of the hair-raising incident were caught on CCTV cameras, video of which is going viral on social media. In the video gone viral, a man can be seen walking on a footpath with three other men behind him. Out of nowhere, a hatchback enters the frame and, in the split-of-second, runs over them. The car runs over the man walking ahead of the three men first, and flings him in the air. Meanwhile, the three men were carried for a distance on the vehicle’s bonnet before the vehicle came to a halt.
The person who died in the accident has been identified as Suresh. Other injured have been receiving treatment at hospital. According to reports, the person behind the wheel is an assistant director who was in the vehicle after finishing a shoot.
The Facts of the Matter
An assistant director, who was allegedly low on sleep, ran his car over four pedestrians in Bengaluru. The accident, which claimed the life of one person and injured three others, occurred earlier on May 20 and occurred at Kathriguppe junction in Banashankari, Bengaluru. CCTV cameras set up on the road where the accident occurred captured the moment-by-moment horror. Footage videos are currently going viral on Twitter.

What Does the Video Show?
The video shows a man walking on the footpath with a group of three other men walking behind him. Within a few moments, a speeding out-of-control hatchback car enters the frame and rams into the the man walking on the footpath. Such was the speed and the impact of the car, that the man can be seen getting flung in the air and colliding into parked vehicles. Meanwhile, the car then mows the three men who were walking behind the first person. The driver had his leg on the accelerator and he dragged the three men on his car’s bonnet before things came to a halt.
In the final moments of the video, the driver can be seen getting out of the car and rushing towards the first person he hit, who is lying lifeless. The driver of the vehicle is also seen asking people passing by for some help.

One Person Succumbed to Injuries
The person who was walking ahead of the three men, was identified as Suresh, who worked in catering business. Suresh succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead. Meanwhile, three other men were rushed to hospital and are now reported to be taking treatment. They were identified as Shivram, Sachin and Shailendra.

Driver an Assistant Director, was Low on Sleep
According to reports, the man behind wheel has been identified as Mukesh. An assistant director by profession, Mukesh was on the way to his home after he had finished a shoot when the accident happened. It is also being reported that the driver was low on sleep. As per Banashankari traffic police, Mukesh had been busy shooting the whole night the night before the accident took place.
A case was registered against Mukesh and he has been reported to be arrested.
