Recently, a patient gave an orthopaedic surgeon a cash payment that ended up being a fake note. Despite being conned of ₹500, the doctor viewed the incident in good humor, remarking that he decided to save the note as a “fun memory”. Apps such as PayTM, Gpay and PhonePe have made digital payments more popular among customers; however, there are still people who like to use cash. Dr. Manav Arora, who is a health content creator, shared the story on Threads, Meta’s newly launched social media platform. In disbelief, he wrote, “I refuse to believe they didn’t know about it either and just passed it along.”
