The Facts of the Matter
Cops in India get a bad rap. For all they do and help citizens with, they are considered unapproachable and unpredictable. To bridge that gap, several initiatives have been taken by multiple state governments so that police appear approachable and not antagonistic. This includes Mumbai Police’s social media campaigns, Uttar Pradesh’s “Police Ki Pathshala”, and more.
However, there is a one popular figure, that’s single handedly bridging the widening gap mentioned above. We are talking about traffic constable Ranjeet Singh from Indore. Singh is seen on traffic laden Indore streets doing a moon-walk and managing traffic while dancing.
Recently, the traffic constable once again made the news. This time, for being featured in a video shared by Indian Police Service officer Dipanshu Kabra. Kabra is known for sharing some hilarious, fascinating and heartwarming videos on his Twitter.
Kabra recently took to Twitter to share a video of constable Ranjeet shaking a leg with another man on Kishor Kumar’s song “Janu meri jaan” from the movie ‘Shaan’.
What Does the Video Show
Taking to Twitter, Kabra captioned the video with – “Moments like these are beautiful examples of #PublicPoliceFriendship!”. The video shows a middle-aged civilian dancing on Janu meri jaan without losing an ounce of enthusiasm as the song progresses. His energy and dancing is so infectious that even dancing cop Ranjeet Singh couldn’t help himself from shaking a leg and grooving to the song. With huge smile on their faces, the two men can be seen enjoying the moment without any hesitation.
