In a horrific news coming from Madhya Pradesh, a 38-year-old man killed himself after his mother insisted him to get rid of his pet dog. The incident is reported from Chhatarpur and the deceased man hanged himself after not being able to accept his mother’s insistence on getting rid of the pet dog. According to reports, the mother of the deceased man had been asking him to get rid of the dog as the dog had bitten her hand. A Dainik Bhaskar report claimed that before the incident, the man in a fit of anger had told his mother that neither will he get rid of the dog, nor will he kill him.

The love for a pet dog can be more than other people, but can it be more than one’s own life? In some cases, the answer is unfortunately yes. A 38-year-old man killed himself after he could no longer bear his mother’s insistence of getting rid of the pet dog he loved.
In Chhatarpur’s Vishwanath Colony, Kamlesh was found hanging dead from his home. Symbolically, Kamlesh used dog’s leash as the noose around his neck. But what got Kamlesh to a point he had to take such a step?

Kamlesh’s Mother Was Bit by the Dog
It all started when the dog, that Kamlesh loved dearly, reportedly bit his mother. After getting bitten, 65-year-old Shanti started telling her son to shoo the dog away or remove him somehow from the premises. This became the cause of constant arguments between the son and mother.
According to Kamlesh’s brother Sunil, his brother wasn’t agreeing to drive the dog away in any condition. Sunil added that they never took the arguments seriously and used to ignore the constant arguments. This proved to be the biggest mistake on their part.

Deceased Worked as Mechanic, Wife & Son Had Left him Years Ago
Reportedly, Kamlesh worked as a mechanic in Chhatarpur. 19 years ago Kamlesh got married and went on to have a son. However, ten years into the marriage, Kamlesh’s wife left him and took their son with her. The son and the mother are currently residing in Waraseoni district. Kamlesh used to live with his aging mother in a small shed.
Childless Couple in Mumbai Committed Suicide After Pet’s Death
It should be noted that this is not the first time a person took their life over the love they had for their pet. In July this year, a childless couple committed suicide after their pet dog died. The victims were identified as 55-year-old Jayshree and 60-year-old Vijay. According to reports, the husband-wife had also tested positive for COVID-19 in April the same year. As they were childless, the locals helped them with essentials and groceries.
Similar Incident Happened in 2020
In November 2020, a 23-year-old woman died by suicide. The incident was reported from Ralgarh, Chhattisgarh. The woman, according to reports, was so overcome by the grief after her dog’s passing that she hanged herself to death. Furthermore, she left a suicide letter in which she mentioned her last wish. As per reports, the woman wanted to be buried beside her pet dog Babu instead of being cremated.
