Punjabi pop-singer Daler Mehendi recently created history by being the first Indian singer to buy land in Metaverse. The singer bought land in the virtual space and has rightly named it – ‘Balle Balle Land’. According to reports, the Balle Balle Land is also the first ever purchase of land on the virtual space in India.
The land was earlier inaugurated on Holi and is set to have stores that will house merchandise and products that people may be able to buy as NFT or real physical goods that will be delivered to the buyer’s home. According to a press release, the Balle Balle Land “will also house a host of activities and their very own concert bus as well”.
The news comes just days after Metaverse hosted PartyNite where Daler Mehendi also performed. After performing at the PartyNite, Mehendi was quoted saying, “I really enjoyed performing on PartyNite and I wanted a permanent presence and hence created Balle Balle Land”.

We are inching closer and closer to a more intricately and securely connected virtual world where daily activities can also be carried out as easily – or even more easily than real world. With the advent of Metaverse, which may be in its infancy so far, popular celebrities and tech-preneurs are gravitating towards the all-virtual world.
Recently, popular Punjabi singer Daler Mehendi was reported to have bought a land in Metaverse. Mr. Mehendi has become the first ever Indian singer to have purchased a land in the all-virtual world. The land, which will be used to host concerts, and carry all sorts of activities, is called ‘Balle Balle Land’.
Balle Balle Land Inaugurated on Holi
According to reports, the Balle Balle Land is the furst land purchase on Metaverse from India. Earlier on Holi, the Daler Mehendi owned land was first inaugurated. In the ceremony, Mehendi introduced the virtual citizens to a ‘larger than life’ dome that covers the BBL (Balle Balle Land) as high-octane heart-pulsing music plays in the background and laser beams from all sides of dome appears.
Soon, the Punjabi singer’s avatar handed out “passports” to fans and welcomed virtual citizens on board. During the inaguration, Mehendi also sang for his fans and natives of the BBL. There was also a game of paintball organized which was loosely inspired by Call of Duty multiplayer game.

How Daler Mehendi Decided to Buy Balle Balle Land
On inaugurating the BBL, Mehendi was quoted by a Moneycontrol report saying, “I went with an open mind on PartyNite Metaverse and it was a very rewarding experience. Audiences have moved online and I believe it is going to stay. The physical world has its own charm but with Metaverse, sky’s the limit. I really enjoyed performing on PartyNite and I wanted a permanent presence and hence created Balle Balle Land.”

Mehendi Also Performed at Metaverse Concert
It should be noted that earlier on India’s 73rd Republic Day, Daler Mehendi became the first Indian singer to perform at a concert by Metaverse which saw as many as 20 million attendees from all across the globe.
Mehendi performed songs like ‘Namo Namo’, ‘India India’, Jago India’ and more. Further, to enthrall and captivate the viewers, the singer’s avatar also dropped NFaler mehendi instTs. The concert was such a success that at one time, as many as 15 lakh people were concurrently viewing Mehendi’s performance, due to which the servers ran into a temporary glitch.
