Price Tracking Notifies You of Fare Drops

For flexible travelers, turn on price tracking to have Google Flights monitor fares and alert you if prices fall significantly. You can track prices for specific travel dates or get notified of any major deals in the next 3-6 months. With Google keeping an eye out, you don’t have to constantly re-check prices.

Book with Confidence Using Price Guarantee

Some flight results will display a price guarantee badge, meaning Google is highly confident that the fare won’t decrease further. If you book one of these flights and the price drops, Google will refund the difference. This guarantee is currently being piloted for select Book on Google flights from the U.S.

Use Booking Trends to Snag Deals

Google Flights analyzed historical data to determine the best times to book for popular routes in 2023:

Christmas travel deals are found by booking in early October, about 71 days out.
For Europe flights, book at least 72 days in advance when prices are lowest. Waiting longer than 10 weeks out could mean higher fares.
