During the CSK VS RCB game, MSD was seen plotting Virat Kohli’s dismissal, the visuals of which made netizens call the former Indian skipper ‘mastermind’. Known for being an astute reader of the game and conditions, MS Dhoni again went on to shut up critics who have been pointing fingers at his playing prowess.

In a video shared by a Twitter user, Dhoni can be seen carefully planning the dismissal of his former Indian cricket team batter Virat Kohli. Dhoni’s ‘Chakravyuh’ was such that even a batsman like Kohli fell into the trap and gave away his wicket. The wicket was all the more infuriating for Kohli as he had come to crease just minutes before and had only scored 1 run off 3 deliveries.

CSK meanwhile tasted victory against RCB after four consecutive four losses. Playing first, the Ravindra Jadeja-led team posed a challenging total of 216, thanks to the timely partnership between Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube.

Chasing 216, RCB suffered with the crucial problem of losing wickets on regular intervals. None of its players could stay at the pitch for long and the team eventually lost by 23 runs.

MS Dhoni once again proved why he’s widely regarded as the sharpest reader of the game and conditions. Although the 40-year-old wicketkeeper batter has given the baton of captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja, he is seen as playing an instrumental part in how the CSK players take the game forward.

His strategic skills were on full display earlier on Tuesday when CSK was playing against the RCB at the DY Patil Stadium.

It so happened that RCB was left stuttering at 14/1 with the skipper Faf du Plessis already dismissed at 8 off 9. While RCB needed Virat Kohli to play a steady inning to rock the shaky boat, CSK needed one more wicket to completely dominate the game.

This was when M.S. Dhoni displayed his genius. Having already played with Kohli in Indian cricket team, and against him in so many IPL’s the former Indian skipper knew just what to do. The wicketkeeper batter gave a fielding masterclass and plotted a masterful dismissal of Kohli.

In a video shared by a Twitter user, MS Dhoni can be seen setting fielding after Virat Kohli was brought to the middle. One can see that prior to Virat Kohli took strike, a fielder was placed at the deep square leg. However, once Kohli was put on strike, Dhoni quietly gestured the fielder to take a vacant position.

Meanwhile, pacer Mukesh Choudhary also didn’t make a single mistake and bowled a much shorter-delivery to Kohli’s comfort. Kohli ended up mistiming the ball and deposited the ball straight into the safe hands of Shivam Dube, who was earlier having a great day with the bat as well.

CSK VS RCB – Uthappa and Dube Put on a Show, Netizens Flood Twitter with Memes

During the game, Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube put on a show for Chennai Super Kings fans and gave the bowling unit of opposition a session worth forgetting. After being brought to the middle at 36/2, Dube and Uthappa took matters in their own hands and made sure their team pose a challenging total.

The duo were relentless against all RCB bowlers, and added an applause worthy 165-run partnership for for the third wicket. During the duo’s partnership, it was never clear as who was the real aggressor.

While Uthappa played 88 run inning of just 50 balls, Dube came inches close to a century, scoring 95 off 46.
