Netizens on Twitter are reacting to the viral video of a hero traffic police man rescuing a child who fell from a moving auto rickshaw and lauding the police man in question. The video was first shared on microblogging platform Twitter by IAS officer Awanish Sharan. A 2009 Batch IAS recruit, Mr. Sharan shared the video of police officer Sunder Lal exhibiting his lightning-fast reflexes after a kid fell from an auto-rickshaw on the road with active traffic coming from either side.

In the video gone viral, the child fells on the road from a moving three-wheeler. Meanwhile, the situations escalate as a bus can be seen approaching the place where the child has fallen. Before the worse could transpire, the bus halts just in time.

Meanwhile, traffic cop Sunder Lal quickly approaches the child and rescues him to safety before another vehicle could put the childтАЩs life in danger. The cop hands over the child to another woman who was in the autorickshaw.

Netizens on Twitter lauded the traffic cop for his timely intervention and risking his life to save the childтАЩs life. Many netizens also lauded the bus driver who applied the brakes just in the nick of time to let the police officer rescue the child.

The Facts of the Matter

Traffic cops are often the unsung heroes who keep our cities in motion, and when push comes to shove, risk their lives to save others. Recently, the above-mentioned notion was proven true by a police officer who risked his own life to save a child who fell from a moving rickshaw on a road filled with traffic activity. The officer in question was identified as Sunder Lal.

The video was shared by IAS officer Awanish Sharan and has been viewed one and a half million times on Twitter. The barely 16 second video has been liked over eighty-two thousand times and has received hundreds of comments.

What Does the Video Show?

The video shows traffic cop Sunder Lal out on his duty guiding the cityтАЩs traffic on road where traffic can be seen coming from both the sides. The CCTV footage then cuts to the moment where a red coloured three-wheeler exits a lane and enters the main road. The three-wheeler doesnтАЩt have any closing or windows of any kind and this leads to a child falling out of the vehicle on the road.

As if on cue, a private bus enters the video frame and somehow halts in the nick of time. The traffic cop doesnтАЩt waste a single moment and dashes towards the child and rescues him before any other vehicle could emerge out of nowhere and put the childтАЩs life in danger.
