“Complaint Was for ‘Minor Offence”: Paytm Spokesperson
Meanwhile, a Paytm spokesperson has come out claiming that the FIR was filed under a “minor offence” which was just a “formality” completed the same day. The spokesperson further added that the reports in media of Sharma’s arrest are grossly exaggerated.
“A complaint was filed in connection with an alleged minor motor vehicle incident. There was no harm caused to any person or property in the said incident… Even the complaint against the vehicle was for a minor offence under a bailable provision of law and requisite legal formalities were completed on the same day,” the spokesperson was quoted saying.
