In a horrifying incident making its way from the national capital, a house help was found in the pool of her own urine by the police. She also alleged that her employers, a couple, assaulted her and also shaved her head. The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Rajni who hails from West Bengal’s Siliguri.
Meanwhile, one of the accused has been identified as Abhijeet. After being rescued, Rajni was rushed to the hospital where she’s currently undergoing treatment. The alleged accused couple paid Rajni a sum of Rs. 7,000 per month for her service. The authorities were informed about the matter earlier on Sunday this week.
According to reports, the victim’s placement agency received a call on Sunday evening from the employers who stated that she had fallen ill and must be taken home. The couple went on to drop the victim to the placement agency office and left the spot.
Later, the owner of the agency found her lying in the pool of her own urine and took her to hospital. In the hospital, the victim alleged that her employers used to assault her. Earlier on Sunday, the couple also chopped off the victim’s hair, and the victim sustained multiple injuries due to the assault that followed.
The Facts of the Matter
According to Delhi Police, a 48-year-woman was thrashed by her employers, a couple, who also allegedly tonsured her. The victim was employed as a house help at the accused’s house in Rajaouri Garden, West Delhi. The entire ordeal transpired earlier on Sunday this week, only to be confirmed by the police on Thursday. The victim in the matter has been identified as 48-year-old Rajni.

House Help Got Rs. 7,000 Per Month
A Siliguri, West Bengal resident, Rajni was employed at the couple’s house as a house help and was used to provide her services for Rs. 7,000 per month. The incident was brought to fore after the victim filed a medico-legal case from the Safdarjung Hospital on May 17. In the case, it was maintained that the patient was brought to the hospital’s casualty with a history of physical assault.

Victim Found in Pool of Urine
Earlier on Sunday, the victim’s placement agency received a call from the employers who stated that Rajni had fallen ill and must be taken to home. The couple dropped Rajni to the employment agency office where the owner of the agency found Rajni lying in the pool of her own urine.
The owner rushed her to the hospital where the victim alleged that she was assaulted by her employers regularly. Earlier on Sunday, the employer couple chopped off her hair and assaulted her. The victim sustained injuries due to the assault all over her body, said the owner of the placement agency.

Medical Reports Confirm “Physical Assault” & “Head Trauma”
According to the reports from the medical examination which followed Rajni’s admission, she suffered from “physical assault”, “head trauma” and was “vomiting”. The victim also sustained injuries across her face, limbs, eyes and other body parts, the police involved in the matter started.
Couple had Fired another House Help before Victim
It should be noted that the accused couple had hired another woman from the same placement agency before Rajni. However, they fired her alleging that she stole from them and also spiked their food with rat poison. From September 2021, it was Rajni who was employed at the accused couple’s house.
