A hilarious video of an on-the-run fugitive getting “chased” by a herd of cows, into the arms of police has been making rounds of social media. The video, taken by a police helicopter, shows the man making efforts to run away from the long arm of the law. However, fate would have it otherwise as some cows decided to foil his plan, and have him be nabbed by the authorities in the end.
The aerial footage of the incident was shared courtesy UK-based National Police Air Service (NPAS). Sharing the video on social media, the NPAS floated a statement which read – “Watch the moment a man on the run from @DC_Police was herded up by a group of cows in Devon and mooved out of their field into the arms of waiting Police Officers – however we did have to remind the cows not to take the law into their own hoofs .”
Following the video of the incident surfacing on social media, many netizens chimed in with their witty and cheeky puns to congratulate the authorities. “Trying to escape?? How dairy….,” one social media user said. “Nice to see the herd mentality alive & well in the NPAS”, another quipped.

In an incident which may sound like a scene straight out of a comedy film, an on-the-run fugitive saw his fate run out in real time, after he was arrested by the cops, thanks to a herd of cows!
The incident was brought to the fore after the UK-based National Police Air Service (NPAS) took to Twitter and shared the aerial footage taken from the helicopter deployed above the fugitive. “Watch the moment a man on the run from @DC_Police was herded up by a group of cows in Devon and mooved out of their field into the arms of waiting Police Officers – however we did have to remind the cows not to take the law into their own hoofs,” the tweet read.

What Does the Video Show?
The suspect in the matter can be seen fleeing a scene and a helicopter has been deployed that’s trying to track him down and not have him vanish before being nabbed. The chopper then captures a bunch of animals surrounding the suspect, and then “chasing him” away and removing him from their field, a move that can be seen as a response to their territorial nature.
The video also shows an officer speaking to people on ground, directing them as to where the suspect is. The heat-tracking technology is able to show the group of cows chasing the man away. “Thank the cows”, says an officer, after the suspect is nabbed.

In its statement on Twitter, the NPAS also said – “It was a high steaks incident – he was told to stop running but it clearly went in one ear and out the udder – great team effort as always.”
