Recently the Goa Electricity Department’s candid tweets left netizens on Twitter rolling on the floor laughing. The brutally honest tweets were shared by a person who was in the same boat as fellow Goa citizens who were dealing with power cuts. Although the tweets are not deleted, opportunistic netizens took the screenshots of the same and the screenshots are making rounds of social media.
In the now deleted tweet, the person managing the electricity department vented out his frustration over the state of electric supply. “I also have no lights and would be anytime fadding aways from you all until supply restored and mobile and laptop charged”, the deleted tweet read
Many netizens on Twitter were astonished at the honesty of the tweets and wondered whether the department’s Twitter handle was hacked. To this, the person behind the account wrote – “I do not think a hacker would work so late to loose his sleep & interact with you all in a pleasing way & providing correct info They hack to cause destruction of some kind. No hack here pls note.”
The Facts of the Matter
Often while interacting with a media organization or a government entity’s Twitter handle, people tend to forget that there are human beings with feelings on the other side who are replying to them. This is partly due to the extremely formal and often vague nature of replies that are posted by the company’s Twitter handlers.
However, an unidentified person who was managing the Twitter handle of Goa Electricity Board threw the veil of formality out of the window, and replied with candidness many netizens were shocked with. Unfortunately, the tweets have now been deleted. But some netizens who were witnessing the ordeal took screenshots of the said tweets and pictures of same are going viral on Twitter.

“I also have no lights”: The Tweet that Started it All
As per the screenshot, the person managing the Goa Electricity Board tweeted – “I also have no lights and would be anytime fadding aways from you all until supply restored and mobile and laptop charged”.
Netizens were obviously shocked to see the honesty of the person managing the Twitter handle. One person replied to the above tweet with – “What?”. This was when the person behind the board’s Twitter handle wrote another rib-tickling and honest tweet.

“No special service to me”
“Why what??? Or why surprise??? I am also a consumer like you now out of office but only a dept person on twitter. No special service to me I go through the same route as you all to find better solutions and to pass it on if any”, the tweet read.

A netizen sensed the frustration and honesty of the unidentified Twitter account manager. The netizen replied with – “Arrey.. Don’t get upset.. All good”.
To this, the account manager replied – “not upset but you must know that I am with you all”.

Netizens Ask Whether Account is Hacked, Person Responds with Brutal Honesty
Soon, many netizens were obviously caught surprised with the honesty of the Twitter account manager. Some even wondered whether the account was hacked or compromised.
