Jhund Movie Review: Script Analysis

Jhund, also penned by Director Nagraj, takes his initiative to discuss the underprivileged a step further. The film is a reflection, of what we, as a society, can do to assist those who do not have to discover their positive point and cross over to a greater side.

The movie’s pre-and post-interval narratives are totally inconsistent. While the first half is taut and interesting for the most part, the second half is all over the place as the social melodrama portion takes over. Surprisingly, there aren’t any lengthy monologues from the protagonist.

Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti’s cinematography is elegant, grabbing every mood and texture of the bylanes it travels through.

Jhund Movie Review: Star Performances

Amitabh Bachchan is a superstar and, He had to abandon his superstar persona for this movie and transform into Vijay Barse, which he did seamlessly.

Ankush Gedam gives an outstanding act as Ankush Mehshram aka Don, one of the movie’s principal characters. Kartik Uikey as Kartik deserves special mention since he is a wonderful artist that makes you laugh out loud with his one-liners. Babu Chhetri, Saylii Patil, Rehann Sheikh, Arbaj Sheikh, Angel Anthony, and the rest of the cast deliver convincing displays. Kishor Kadam and Chhaya Kadam deliver excellent performances in their roles. Akash Thosar and Rinki Rajguru, both of Sairat fame, perform admirably in their cameo roles.

Jhund Movie Review: Direction & Music

Nagraj Manjule does an excellent job in world-building. He knows how to play with the visuals in the same way that Sairat does, but this time with the inclusion of colors.

The design, which concentrates on the journey of reaching the ground rather than the actual match, is the finest thing about the sports element of the film. Ajay- Atul’s songs are well-suited to the movie’s theme. The title tune is catchy. Jhund’s background score, like Sairat’s, is in line with the movie’s vibe.

Amitabh Bachchan’s performance and Manjule’s narration make ‘Jhund’ shine out.
