The renowned Mangeshkar Family, which is mourning the loss of our Bharat Ratna and their mother-figure Lataji on February 6, has chosen to introduce an award in her legacy. PM Narendra Modi to get the first Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar award for, unconventional and outstanding contributions to our country and its citizen. The glorious award ceremony will be held at Mumbai’s Shanmukhanand Hall.
Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Lata Mangeshkar’s younger brother, announced the newest award. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consented to visit the event and personally receive the Lata Mangeshkar award, as per the music director.

According to a statement issued by Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Smruti Pratishthan charitable trust, “this award will be granted every year to only one person who has made unconventional, outstanding, and unparalleled contributions to our country, its citizens, and our society.”
The statement further said He is a global leader who has led India to worldwide acclaim. He has motivated and fueled the impressive progress that has occurred and continues to occur in every facet and level of our beloved country. “He is without a doubt one of the finest leaders our proud country has witnessed in its illustrious history spanning hundreds of years”.
The very first annual recipient of the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom Lataji valued as a leader and a personal pal.
Jackie Shroff, Asha Parekh, and Mumbai Dabbawala’s to Receive Award
Usha Mangeshkar, Lataji’s younger sister, will preside over the event and present the awards to the recipients. Actress Asha Parekh and Jackie Shroff will be acknowledged for their contributions to the arts.
Rahul Deshpande, an Indian classical vocalist, will earn the Master Deenanath Puraskar for Indian music. The drama “Sanjay Chaya,” a Marathi theatre presented by Jigisha Ashtvinayak, will receive the Master Deenanath Puraskar for Best Drama.
The Master Deenanath Puraskar (Anandmayee Puraskar) will be bestowed upon the well-known Mumbai Dabbawalas in acknowledgment of their “determined services in the domain of social service.”
The award was formed in remembrance and honor of iconic vocalist Lata Mangeshkar, who died previously this year at the age of 92 in Mumbai.

Roopkumar Rathod Will Pay Tribute to Lata Ji
The award event will also feature a music show called “Swarlatanjali,” which will be hosted by noted vocalist Roopkumar Rathod and will pay tribute to the “Timeless melodies and recollections of our dearest sister Lata didi,” according to the release.
CM Yogi to Title A ‘Chowk’ After Lata Mangeshkar
Moreover, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has planned to title a ‘chowk’ in Ayodhya following Bharat Ratna vocalist Lata Mangeshkar. Master Deenanath Mangeshkar, the singing icon’s father, died on April 24 at the age of 80.
