Samsung Galaxy S21 Release Date and Price

This year customers would need to pay less for S21 than they had to for S20 in 2019. In their introductory prices, Samsung has cut off $200 and making the S21 phones available at $800. As of January 15, you can pre-order the device.

Design And Display

The Samsung S21 comes with unassuming yet charming flat edges and a camera array beautifully blends into the frame of the phone. The camera array is known as the Contour Cut camera housing and it really sets the whole device apart.

Samsung S21 houses a 6.2-inch screen which has a resolution of 2400×1080 making the device a little bit less pixel-dense than the last years’ Samsung S20. To make up for not being as pixel-dense, Samsung has made the display to have an adaptive refresh rate. The refresh rate will range from 48Hz to 120Hz which will change according to how the phone is used.

Camera

The S21 comes with a dual-pixel 12-megapixel wide-angle lens as its primary camera. Another 12-megapixel ultrawide camera supports the primary camera. Additionally, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens is also available with a 3x optical zoom.

If you want to zoom beyond that, Samsung’s got you covered. With the Space Zoom feature, you can digitally zoom up to 30 x for increased details. The camera also features a Zoom Lock that locks the focus on your shots with the help of AI and keeps the focal point right in the centre of the frame.

Galaxy S21 Processor, Memory and RAM

Although the S21 and the S21 Ultra have differences in the display refresh rate and their cameras, they both have one thing in common- each of these smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. Samsung S21 also features 8 GB RAM. On the storage side, you better be okay with the storage options on S21. Although the base S21 comes with a decent 128GB storage, and another model with 256GB of storage, there’s no microSD slot for memory expansion.

Conclusion

Samsung S21 doesn’t come with a headphone jack, nor does it come with a power adapter. The phone also does away with storage expansion. That said, you do get a lot of features for your money. A faster SoC, an adaptive display and a camera with telephoto lens, makes Samsung S21 the first flagship of 2021.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

As always, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra packs the best and most bombastic of Samsung’s features. Let’s look at S21 Ultra’s price, release date, display, and other key specifications.

Samsung S21 Ultra Price and Release Date

Samsung announced that the S21 Ultra is available for pre-ordering from January 14 with a release date that’s slated at January 29. S21 Ultra starts at $1,199 which includes 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If you don’t want to settle at 128GB, you can upgrade to a model with 16 GB of RAM with 512 GB of storage which costs $1379.

Design And Display

The S21 ultra like its younger brothers comes with a camera bump. But the camera bump doesn’t quite jump out from the phone’s frame awkwardly as it did with S20 ultra. The new contour cut design integrates with the camera bump and a metal frame with a glass back gives the phone a classy design.

As it happens with all Ultra variants of Samsung, the company is offering the biggest and brightest displays it can. Samsung has gone with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display running at a resolution of 3200 x 1400. The display packs the same Adaptive Refresh rate as it does with S21. This means that while scrolling your Instagram feeds you will get a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and while you have kept your phone aside, it drops down to 10Hz. This feature not only makes up for a great experience but also enhances the already sufficient 5000MaH battery life.

Galaxy S21 Ultra Cameras

The camera department is where S21 Ultra separates itself from the league. Samsung S21 Ultra comes with a primary 109-megapixel sensor with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, complemented by a laser autofocus sensor.

It gets better. The S21 Ultra also comes with two-telephoto lenses-one of which holds a 3x zooming capability and one till 10x optical zoom. Additionally, 100x Space Zoom makes a return with S21 ultra minus all the shakiness.

Memory and RAM

Galaxy S21 Ultra follows S21’s inability to support a microSD. The S21 Ultra is offered in two variants. There’s one variant that comes with a 12GB RAM and a 128GB storage and one variant with 512GB of storage with 16GB of RAM.

Conclusion

The S21 Ultra comes with all the features that makes it a strong contender for the best Android phone in 2021. And thanks to Samsung dropping its price by $200, there will be more people this year who would be willing to pay a premium for the class S21 Ultra offers.
