A video showing a cop from MP seeking ‘spiritual guidance’ from a saint to solve a murder case recently went viral, following which the cop was reported to be suspended. The incident was reported from Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh.

The cop in question was identified as Assistant sub-inspector Anil Sharma, who recently sought guidance from Pandokhar Sarkar for an unsolved murder case which involved a 17-year-old victim.

The video of the incident was first shared on Twitter by a user named Anuraag Singh. “Ever imagined cop seeking help of religious guru to crack a case. No, this isn’t reel life, but real life. See how ASI of MP’s Chhatarpur district police gets help from religious guru Baba Pandokhar Sarkar for cracking murder case,” he captioned the video.

In the video gone viral, ASI Anil Sharma can be seen giving a list of suspects to the self-proclaimed guru. The guru then says that he will be taking names and the name that is not in the list, will lead to the mystery getting solved.

After taking three names, the saint can be heard saying, “Now you can understand who that person is. You have investigated and brought the man for questioning.”

The Facts of the Matter

When we take to cops, there’s an unsaid understanding that the cops will only take facts and evidences into account to nab a culprit and help in providing justice to the victims. However, recently, a cop crossed all the boundaries of logical reasoning when he went to a spiritual guru to crack an unsolved murder case.

The murder case was that of a 17-year-old victim and the incident of the man taking to the self-proclaimed saint was reported from Chhatarpur.

Video Shows MP Cop Sitting beside Saint

The cop in question, identified as ASI Anil Sharma, was seen in a video sitting beside Pandokhar Sarkar at a gathering. In a bid to come close to identify the accused man who committed a murder, ASI hands over the list of suspects to the saint.

“There are a few names and I’m going to call them out. I’ll leave one out and that’s your suspect,” Pandokhar can be heard saying in the video now gone viral. Following this, Pandokhar says three names – Ravi, Rakesh and Aman.

Saint Points Cop to New Direction

The saint then tells ASI to find the real accused and further tells him that the police have in the past interrogated these accused, and the one name he didn’t take will lead the police to uncover the mystery.

Pandokhar emphatically adds that the name he didn’t call out may not have committed the crime, but that person will lead the police to solve the case.

ASI Anil Sharma Suspended

After the video of the meeting went viral, furious netizens questioned about the state of investigation in the region. Following this, Chhatarpur SP Sachin Sharma issued a suspension order against the ASI seen in the video.

What was the Case About?

The case is that of a murder of a 17-year-old girl who was found in a well earlier on July 28 in Otapurwa village. Based on the complaint, an investigation was kicked off in the matter. One of the relatives of the victim had accused three villagers of the victim’s murder. The three accused were initially arrested and were later released due to the lack of evidences. One of the cops who was part of the investigation was ASI Sharma.
