In Brazil, a 9-year-old boy was reported to have taken Google’s help to successfully sneak into a plane and travel over 2,700 km all by himself. Putting people who write ‘#wanderlust’ and ‘#globetrotter’ in their bio to shame, the little kid took to Google and searched “how to get onto a plane unnoticed”, and ended up actually doing so.
The boy, identified as Emanuel Marques de Oliveira travelled from Manaus, a Brazilian city to Guarulhos, about 1,677 miles from Manaus. According to local reports, the child has baffled law-enforcement and airport authorities alike by acting on his own and circumventing the relevant security systems that are put in place.
Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation has revealed that the child doesn’t come from a family that has history of violence and actually took the trip to “live in Sao Paulo with other relatives”.
The Facts of the Matter
How often do we think of finding a way to actually leave our homes, somehow sneak into a plane that’s traveling to an exotic location, and take a small break without letting anyone know. For most people such scenarios are synonymous to fantasies, a 9-year-old boy in Brazil actually went on to live it.

Meet 9-Yo Emanuel – Youngest Globetrotter
Meet 9-year-old Emanuel Marques de Oliveira. The small kid wanted to live in Sao Paulo with his relatives, and decided the simplest way to find a way out to do that – google search. The boy went on Google and searched ‘“how to get onto a plane unnoticed” and ended up traveling a distance of 2,700 km all by himself on a plane.
Boy’s Mother Finds Him Missing
Earlier on Saturday last week, the 9-year-old boy was reported missing by his parents in Manaus, Brazil. His mother Daniele told authorities that awoke early in the morning, she saw her son snuggled in his bed. However, when she returned to check on him again a couple of hours later, the boy had vanished.
“I woke up at 5:30 a.m., went to his room, and saw that he was sleeping normally. Then I fiddled with my mobile phone a little and got up again, at 7:30 a.m., and that is when I realized that he was no longer in his bedroom and I started to panic,” she was quoted in an NYPost report.

Emanuel Sneaks Out of Home, Reaches Airport, Boards Plane
The young globetrotter allegedly snuck out of his home and somehow made his way to the nearest airport. He then somehow managed to board a plane without a boarding pass, ticket or relevant documents. As to how he did these things, its still not been revealed by local or international reports.
The boy managed to not reveal himself all throughout the flight and only after the flight landed, did the crew actually notice the boy. Soon, the Federal Police and Guardianship Council were alerted by the airport authorities.
Later on, Monday, the boy’s mother received information about her missing son’s whereabouts. The 9-year-old traveler was meanwhile given a shelter under the Guardianship Council care and was sent back home in a flight.

Mother Planning to Sue Airport Administrator
The boy’s mother is reported to be planning to sue the airport administrator and the airline that actually flew with the unaccompanied minor.
According to reports, the Manaus airport authorities have launched an investigation into the matter and are currently investigating how the boy boarded the flight. Local police is reported to be scanning the CCTV footage which may shed more light on how the child was able to fly.
