In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Veena Kapoor was allegedly murdered by her own son who smashed her head by a baseball bat and then dumped her body in river. The veteran 74-year-old actor was murdered by her son over property dispute, it is being alleged. The incident was brought to the fore after popular Bollywood paparazzi Viral Bhayani took to Instagram, and shared an update regarding the same.
“Just few blocks away from actor Jeetender’s bungalow in Juhu is where this sad incident took place. At this posh Juhu locality a man killed his 74 year old mom with a baseball bat and later dumped her body in Matheran,” the caption of the update post read.
“During the interrogation, he revealed to the cops that he killed his mother in a fit of rage after hitting a baseball bat multiple times on her head. He told them that there was a property dispute was going on among them due to which he committed the crime and dumped her body into a river near Matheran in Raigad district,” the caption further read.
While it was not initially reported that the victim of the gruesome murder was Veena Kapoor, the confirmation came when actor Neelu Kohli took to Instagram and shared a tribute post.
The Facts of the Matter
Earlier this week, popular Bollywood paparazzi Viral Bhayani had taken to Instagram and shared a gruesome incident of a Bollywood actor being murdered by her own son. While Bhayani did not mention that it was 74-year-old actor Veena Kapoor who was murdered, he did add a picture to the post.

Accused Bashed Mother’s Head with Baseball Bat
He further added that the victim’s other son, based in US, alerted the Juhu police out of suspicion. During interrogation, the accused “revealed to the cops that he killed his mother in a fit of rage after hitting a baseball bat multiple times on her head”.
“He told them that there was a property dispute was going on among them due to which he committed the crime and dumped her body into a river near Matheran in Raigad district,” the caption further read.
Nilu Kohli Confirms Incident
Amid all the speculation, it was television and film actor Nilu Kohli, who confirmed the fact that it was Veena Kapoor who was the victim of the gruesome killing at the hands of her own son.
“Veenaji you deserved better.I am heartbroken,posting this for you.Kya bolun?Am at a total loss of wordsI hope you are finally resting in peace after soo many years of struggle,” her caption read. She further reposted Bhayani’s update regarding the matter.

Accused Was Amid Property Dispute with Mother
As per reports, the accused in the matter has been identified as Sachin Kapoor, who has since been arrested by the Mumbai police. Sachin was in a property dispute against his own mother, a case which had been going on in the court. The cops have also arrested one Lalu Kumar Mandal, a servant who worked at the house.
The accused in his confession told the Mumbai police that he wanted to get the Rs 12 crore plot of his mother, and an argument triggered the horrific crime. Further investigation is on in the matter.
