Kapil Dev was portrayed in an advertisement for CRED, a credit card bill payment portal situated in Bengaluru. Kapil Dev has introduced a lot of colors to the campaign, from donning bright outfits on the cricket pitch to slamming his opponents. In addition to bowling straight, the ex-Indian captain may also be seen bowling sidearm.

Ranveer is portraying Kapil in the movie on India’s World Cup title in 1983.Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, and Amrita Puri also featured in the film. Kabir Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone, and Sajid Nadiadwala are producing sports drama movie together. The film was originally scheduled to be launched in 2020, however, due to the persisting COVID-19 outbreak it has been pushed back to Christmas 2021.
