In a horrific incident reported from Lucknow, a teen was gangraped in auto by the auto driver and his aide. The victim was then pushed from the auto and dumped off at the crossing. Following the incident, the Lucknow police registered a case against the driver and his aide. So far, no arrests have been made in the matter. Reportedly, the accused committed the horrific crime when the victim was returning from tuition classes.
In the complaint, the 19-year-old victim claimed that after she was returning from her tuition on Saturday evening, she was offered an auto-ride to her residence. The auto-rickshaw already had a male passenger in it.
As soon as the ride began, the victim noticed the driver taking the auto on a different route. The accused then stopped the vehicle at a secluded place. The aide and the driver both snatched the victim’s phone and took her to an isolated place, and took turns in raping her, the victim alleged.
The accused then dragged her in the auto again, and drove it to a prominent crossing in Lucknow. They threatened the victim of dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident, and dumped her, the victim alleged.
Elsewhere in Lucknow, a woman in 50s alleged being raped at an ashram by the disciples.
The Facts of the Matter
As many as 31,677 rape cases were registered in India in 2021, as per the NCRB report. This means, at least 87 women on an average were raped every day in the country. A country, which equates women to Goddesses. Rajasthan registered the most number of rapes, while Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh trailed at number 2 and 3 spots.
Earlier on Saturday, a teen in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh was gangraped by an auto-driver and his aide. The 19-year-old victim was then dumped at a crossing after being threatened of dire consequences if she alerted the cops.

Lucknow Teen Gives Harrowing Statement
As per the teen’s statement, she was taking an auto ride to return from tuition. The auto-driver was already ferrying a man in the shared-auto. The complainant claimed that when the auto-driver started to drive on a different route, she raised an alarm and started shouting.
Accomplice, Driver Took Turns Raping Teen
When the victim started to shout, the driver and his accomplice hit her on the head and snatched her phone. They then took the auto to an isolated location. The victim was dragged to a corner, and was raped by the driver and his aide, who took turns.

Threatening & Dumping the Victim
The entire ordeal went on for three hours, the victim alleged. Further, the accused even stopped at a fuel station to refill petrol.
The auto driver then drove the vehicle to a prominent crossing in Lucknow, and pushed her off the vehicle.

Case Registered
Before pushing the victim out, the accused men threatened her of dire consequences if she alerts anyone. Based on the complaint, the police filed a case against the unidentified men under multiple sections of the IPC. Multiple teams have been formed to nab the accused.
