In Delhi, a shocking crime was unraveled by the police where a wife got her husband killed by a contract killer over spending more time with his first wife. The wife further concocted a robbery story to avoid suspicion. The accused woman was identified as Chanda and she hired a contract killer identified as Jumman alias Jumma. Jumma was reportedly a history-sheeter who used to lay low in Ranhola area, Delhi. Meanwhile, the deceased was identified as 50-year-old Veer Bahadur Verma.
According to reports, the crime was committed earlier on May 18 and an investigation soon followed, which was full of twists and turns. After the police learnt that the victim and his wife used to fight a lot, they brought the wife for questioning.
In questioning, the woman deflected questions and changed her statement multiple times. She concocted a fake story where she claimed that some unidentified robbers barged into her home and looted money after killing her husband.
However, unsatisfied with the line of reasoning, the police continued the interrogation. Soon the wife of the victim confessed to her crime. The wife claimed that her husband used to spend a lot of time with his first wife. She also came to know that her husband was having multiple affairs.
The Facts of the Matter
The Delhi Police arrested a 28-year-old woman for hiring a contract killer and having her husband killed on Wednesday. The murder case was reported earlier on May 18. The victim was identified as Bahadur Verma, the accused was identified as Chanda and the contract killer was identified as Jumma.

Police Kicks Off Probe
Earlier on May 18, the police received an alert regarding a murder near the Holy Convent School Deep Enclave Part 2. The man was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. Following the man’s death, the police initiated a probe.
In the early stages of investigation, the police discovered that the deceased and his wife used to fight a lot. On interrogating the wife, the police were suspicious over the questions she deflected and statements she used to changing.

Woman Concocts Fake Robbery Story
The woman claimed that some unidentified robbers assaulted her husband and looted the cash and jewellery from their home. However, unsatisfied with the woman’s line of reasoning, the police continued with the interrogation.
They also examined the CCTV footage near the crime scene and found Jumma, a history-sheeter, roaming suspiciously around the area. As part of the investigation, the police got their hands on the call records of the deceased’s wife and found out that she was staying in touch with the history-sheeter.
Accused Makes Shocking Revelation
After the police intensified the interrogation, Chanda confessed to the crime. She disclosed that she got married to Veer Bahadur Verma after Verma continued molesting her when she was working at a garment shop 13-14 years ago.
Frustrated Over Affairs, Woman hires Killer
After marrying Verma, the woman discovered that he already had a wife and children with her. She also discovered that her husband maintained multiple extra-marital affairs. Frustrated over the fact that her husband was spending more time with his wife, Chanda decided to hire a history-sheeter.

How the Accused and Accomplice Committed the Crime
She offered Rs. 1.5 lakhs to Jumma for eliminating Verma. On the fateful day of May 18, she let Jumma enter her home who struck multiple blows of hammer on the victim’s head. The two also tried to make the scene look like that of a robbery turned into murder.
