In a moment of heat that was caught on cam, Karnataka congress leader DK Shivakumar lost it and ended up slapping party worker. The offence of the poor party worker was simply that he tried putting his hand on the shoulder of his party leader. Subsequently, the obvious reaction came in the form of opposition party BJP condemning the act.

In a video that’s been making rounds of the social media, Karnataka congress leader D.K. Shivakumar can be seen getting annoyed by a man accompanying him. The man, who appeared to be a party worker, tried to get close to Shivakumar and tried placing his hands on him.
Further, DK Shivakumar can he heard telling another party worker that he should be responsible. Further, cameraman doing their job were also asked to remove the footage. The incident took place during Shivakumar’s visit to his district headquarters of Mandya. He was visiting the district headquarters to get an account of Member of Parliament G Magdegowda’s health.

BJP Attacks Shivakumar on Twitter
BJP National General Secretary C.T. Ravi took to Twitter and asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi whether he has given DKS the “licence for violence”.
He tweeted, “Karnataka CONgress President @DKShivakumar SLAPS his party worker in full public view. If this is how the “former shishya” of Kotwal Ramachandra treats his party worker, one can imagine what he would do with Others. Have you given DKS the “licence for violence”, @RahulGandhi?”

Meanwhile, Karnataka BJP slammed DK Shivakumar for his “behaviour” and labelled him “Rowdi DKShi”. Further, the BJP of Karnataka also asked him to learn how to conduct himself in public,

DK Shivakumar is not a fan of selfies
It should be noted that this is not the first time the Karnataka Congress leader has slapped party workers amid the public. Back in 2018, during an election rally in Bellary, he had slapped a man who tried taking selfie with him.

The 2017 Incident
Further, back in 2017, DK Shivakumar was at Belgaum and had roughly slammed a man’s arm who was again, trying to take a selfie. The incident again happened in front of multiple reporters. Reportedly, DK Shivakumar had defended his actions and claimed that his reaction was “normal” as taking selfie was uncalled for at that moment.

He was claimed to have quoted by news agency ANI saying-
“Have basic common sense. When I am doing my responsibility and addressing the press, how can someone come out for a selfie? It was a normal incident.”
