A day after BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer broke is silence on the Ashneer Grover saga, Sameer again launched a fresh attack on Suhail Sameer. In a LinkedIn post where an employee called out BharatPe senior leadership for not releasing salaries for employees, Suhail Sameer made a comment that read – “Bhai ne saara paisa chura liya Very little left to pay salaries” and tagged Aashima Grover, Ashneer Grover’s sister.
The chain of events was triggered after an IT associate named Karan Sarki took to LinkedIn, appealed to BharatPe administration to release his salary for March. Sarki in his LinkedIn post alleged that old administrative staff were terminated by the company “without giving any reason” and their salaries were not released.
The feud has been quite public in nature, as Ashneer in the same post tagged Suhail Sameer and commented – “Folks please look into this. Not done – their salaries have to be paid before anything”. Earlier, Sameer in an interview to Moneycontrol stated that the Ashneer Grover row was “just an employee going completely bonkers“.
The Facts of the Matter
Rarely in the history of Indian startup circuit has any event raised as many eyebrows as the ongoing Ashneer Grover VS BharatPe board. What started off as allegations of misappropriation of funds has led to unproven allegations hurled towards each other.
In line of those events, today BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer made a rather public attack on Ashneer Grover, taking his sister in a LinkedIn comment and alleging how his brother “stole all the money”.
Here’s What BharatPe Employee has Alleged
The incident was triggered when an alleged employee of BharatPe took to LinkedIn and posted an elaborate account of the fintech giant’s employees not getting paid. In a post shared on April 6, an employee Karan Darki said that employment of old BharatPe administrative staff was terminated “without giving any reason”.
“We were with BharatPe ever since the company started and now we are nowhere because of your internal policies. We are poor people and have our houses to run, small kids to take care of. We have been spending our own money for the company’s petty cash and our reimbursement bills have not yet been paid since December,” the alleged employee Karan Sarki wrote.

The post received a lot of attention and BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover, who was stripped of his titles for “misappropriation of funds” took to the comments section of the said post. “Folks look into this. Not done – their salaries have to be paid first before anything”. The former BharatPe MD also tagged company CEO Suhail Sameer and financial control head Hersimran Kaur.

Meanwhile, Ashneer’s sister also commented on the post and called BharatPe’s executive level employees as a “shameless bunch”. To this, Suhail made a rather surprising personal comment, saying that her brother stole all the money and that there’s very little to pay the staff”.
“Aashima Behen – tere bhai ne saara Paisa Chura liya [your brother stole all the money]. Very little left to pay salaries,” Suhail commented.

Suhail Sameer Posts Apology On Personal Remark
Suhail’s comment obviously struck odd to many professionals and later he apologized for the same. “Friends – I apologies to have irked many of you. In hindsight, it was out of line. We are already working on past employees full and final being paid out”, Suhail commented.
He further added, “My comment was a reaction to a particular statement, not the post. But I accept the mistake. I request you to also have patience, and refrain from building a story based on false narrative”.
