In a heartwarming incident caught on cam, a kind stranger saw a dog collapsing outside a park. The man ended up saving the day by performing a CPR on the dog and eventually saving the dog’s life. The incident was reported from California, USA, where a woman had taken her pet dog, Stone, for a walk. Reportedly, the woman had tied the dog to her bicycle but before she could enter a park where she intended to, the dog collapsed. Thankfully, a kind stranger saw the entire ordeal and reached out to the woman. He later performed the crucial cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the animal at the right time and literally gave the dog a second wind to its life.

The Facts of the Matter

Earlier last week, we reported about a pet dog saving the life of a baby deer by jumping into a stream and saving the youngling from drowning. The dog’s bravery was caught on cam where it was seen slowly swimming out of the waterbody with the baby deer carefully clinched in its jaw. The video went viral on the internet and the dog’s bravery was applauded by the netizens.

Pet Parent’s Worst Nightmare Comes True

Today we are reporting about an incident where a man stepped in at the right time to save the life of a pet dog that had collapsed right outside a park when it was taken out for a walk. Taking a pet dog for a walk is one of the simplest yet crucial activities a pet owner does. However, the simple activity can easily turn into a nightmare when the pet faces a health-related issue.

Something similar happened to an unidentified woman in California when she was out on a walk with her pet dog Stone. The woman had tied her pet’s leash to her bicycle and was about to enter a park when the dog collapsed.

Kind Man Quickly Jumps into Action

The pet parent quickly called out for help and fortunately, helped arrived just in the nick of time. A kind-spirited man heard the woman’s cries and rushed to help. The man, identified as Mr. Jay, quickly identified that the dog had stopped breathing. Without wasting much time,

Jay quickly gave Stone the crucial mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Jay also performed chest compressions to the dog, as suggested in CPR.

Things for Doggo Go Dark, Before Light Emerges

One may be forgiven to assume that things could’ve taken a turn for worse as the dog didn’t respond right away to the CPR. However, Jay continued with his CPR, and the dog wriggled to confirm he was alive.

By the end of the video, Jay can be seen hi-fiving fellow bystanders who had gathered around the collapsed dog.

Dog Had Collapsed Due to Overexcitement

The kind hearted man later shared a video, giving updates about Stone. He claimed that the veterinarian confirmed Stone’s heart to be fine and that it collapsed due to overexcitement. Thanks to the video going viral, Jay got famous and was also invited on a radio show for an interview.

Jay Had Learned Performing CPR on Dogs By YouTube

In the interview he claimed that he didn’t think much and just swung into action to help the dog out. He also claimed that it was the first time he performed a CPR on a dog, and he had learned the procedure through YouTube videos. He added that he was indeed nervous while performing CPR but was glad to save the dog’s life through his knowledge.
