A tragic car accident in Bengaluru involving popular Kannada actor Nagabhushana has left a woman dead and a man seriously injured. The incident occurred late Saturday night when Nagabhushana’s vehicle struck a couple walking on the roadside.
The Accident
According to reports, the accident took place around 9:45 PM on September 30 near Vasantnagar main road. 58-year-old Krishna and his 48-year-old wife Prema were walking when Nagabhushana’s car first hit an electric pole and then crashed into the couple.
Prema suffered severe injuries to her head and face and tragically passed away on the way to the hospital. Krishna survived with critical injuries to his legs, head, and abdomen and is currently undergoing treatment at Portis Hospital.
Nagabhushana took the victims to the hospital himself following the crash. However, Krishna’s son Partha later filed a police complaint holding the actor responsible for the fatal collision. Police have arrested Nagabhushana and he may face charges including speeding, rash driving and negligence.

About Nagabhushana
Nagabhushana is a rising star in the Kannada film industry having made his debut in 2018 with the devotional drama Sankashta Kara Ganapati. He went on to act in several hit films like Kausalya Supraja Rama, Daredevil Mustafa, Badava Rascal and Ikkat.
His performance in Ikkat won him the Best Debutant Actor award at the 2021 South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA). He was most recently seen in this year’s action thriller Tagaru Palya.
