On Tuesday, September 7, Koi Mil Gaya actor Rajat Bedi was booked for hitting a man with his car. The survivor is allegedly in critical condition and receiving treatment. For the unversed, Rajat played the primary antagonist in Rakesh Roshan’s blockbuster film Koi…Mil Gaya.

The actor starred against Hritik Roshan. It should be noted that Bedi has played similar antagonistic roles in films such as Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Katha, and Partner.

Facts of the Matter

Actor and stuntman Rajat Bedi has reportedly been booked for hitting a man with his car and the man is currently in critical condition. According to reports, the victim is currently admitted in the Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital and is fighting for his life in the hospital’s ICU.

The 39-year-old accident victim was a resident of D. N. Nagar in Mumbai and was hit by Bedi when he was on his way to home from work. According to reports, the man’s wife claimed that Bedi had taken him to the Cooper Hospital, and had promised the family of help. However, Bedi left the situation and is missing from the scene since then.

Bedi Booked Under IPC and Motor Vehicles Act

According to a Mid-Day report, Bedi has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian penal Code and sections of Motor Vehicles Act. SI (Senior Inspector) Milind Kurde, who’s involved in the case has also informed the media that no arrests have been made in the case so far.

Doctor Shares Victim’s Condition

Meanwhile, a doctor involved in the treatment of the victim has come forward and shared his condition. According to the doctor, as the victim was hit the car to later sustain head injuries, his condition is critical. Further, the doctor also briefed the media that the victim is currently in the ICU and is under oxygen support. Additionally, it was also reported that the victim urgently needs blood.

Victim Was Drunk when Bedi Hit Him

So far, Bedi has not come out publicly to clear the air. However, the victim’s wife claimed that the incident occurred on Monday evening when her husband was returning home. The wife also added that the victim was under the influence of alcohol when he was hit by Bedi’s car.

It is also being reported that Bedi himself took the victim to the Cooper Hospital in his own car. Bedi at the hospital had told the victim’s family that he came in front of the car out of nowhere. “He assured to help us and said that both he and his driver Suresh were there at the hospital. But after some time, he said he was leaving briefly, but never came back,” the wife quoted, as per a Mid-Day report.
