In an incident where the city of Delhi emulated Mumbai, a video of car getting swallowed by sinkhole has gone viral. While one may get shocked had a similar incident not happen in the financial hub of the country Mumbai earlier last month. The Mumbai incident was reported from Ghatkopar and the car was swallowed by a parking area which had caved in.

The Delhi – Mumbai rivalry is known by most Indian citizens. Mumbaikars and Delhiites lock horns on various subjects such as their IPL franchises, the standard of living in both the cities, the opportunities both the cities have. While a friendly rivalry is healthy when it comes to cities growing, sometimes the two cities unintentionally emulate each other in disastrous situations.

In one such incident, incessant rains in the national capital led to a sinkhole opening in the Dwarka’s Sector 18. This led to the road collapsing and shockingly, a car which was stuck on the road, was also swallowed by the sinkhole. The car was later pulled out with a crane and fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
